Tarte aux fraises, a quick simple delicious dessert
If you’re running out of time but you still want something delicious at the end of your meal this is the one. This is a really quick simple dessert, my version of tarte aux fraises!
1 or 2 punnets of strawberries
1 punnet of raspberries
2 passion fruits (optional)
1 table spoon of crushed pistachios (optional)
1 block of puff pastry
400 ml of double cream
Half a tsp of vanilla paste
A tsp of rum or brandy or even whisky
3 tbsp of icing sugar
Mint to decorate
Sprinkle your pastry with icing sugar and cook in a 180° oven for 10 minutes until golden
In a food processor, whisk your double cream with the icing sugar, the vanilla paste and the rum until your cream reaches a peak consistency. Transfer to a piping bag with a star shape nozzle and start piping little stars all over your pastry.
Slice your strawberries and start placing them at an angle on your pastry. Then add the raspberries and the mint, before serving sprinkle with icing sugar. Et voilà!
Tip: to take your dessert to perfection, sprinkle the flesh of two passion fruits all over the tart and some crushed pistachios.
