Indulge in an afternoon of beautiful British blooms and the finest French patisserie in our luxury Flowers & High Tea experience. This unique collaboration between bespoke wedding & event florist, Wild Rosamund, and award-winning French patisserie, Gourmandises, will be a feast for your senses.

This special event will take place in the home of  Gourmandises owner Corinne Payet, set on the edge of the village of Cottenham, with views over the Cambridgeshire countryside. On arrival, you will be greeted with a glass of the classic French apéritif Kir Royal.

Flower masterclass

You’ll start the afternoon with a masterclass by Bridget Davidson, owner of Wild Rosamund. She will share the design secrets of floral designers on what makes a good bouquet, before demonstrating how to make a sumptuous seasonal hand-tied design, using the freshest British flowers, as well as wild botanicals she personally forages from the Cambridgeshire countryside. Finally she’ll show you how to wrap your creation like a pro.

Then it’s your turn to have a go! Choose from a selection of beautiful British flowers and foliage and, with Bridget’s guidance, you will create and wrap your own beautiful bouquet. Best of all, it’s yours to take home and enjoy.

Luxury French High Tea and demonstration

After your masterclass, you will sit down with your fellow guests to a beautiful French high tea, handmade by Gourmandises owner and award-winning pastry chef Corinne Payet. You will enjoy a selection of delicious savouries and desserts inspired by her home country of Réunion. The menu will include:

A selection of exquisite loose tea and coffee

A selection of beautifully presented macaron, gateaux, petites tartes sucrées and entremet.

A selection of savoury delights: quiche, saucisse friand flavoured with Kaffir lime, petite tarte salée, salmon terrine flavoured with lime and a cheese palmier.

Think of beautifully hand crafted sweets and savouries – almost too pretty to demolish!

To finish off the afternoon, Gourmandises will also provide a demonstration on how to give your desserts that sophisticated French touch!

Bridget says: ‘I’m really excited to share my love of flowers. To choose your own stems, hold them and feel them growing into a beautiful floral artwork in your own hands is an amazing experience. I love to teach as much as I love flowers so let me excite you about the possibilities…’
