Rapunzel inspired wedding shoot

Rapunzel inspired wedding shoot

As a creative, I’m always looking for new challenges and opportunities to grow. So, when the lovely Keenda from Events by Keenda asked if I could be part of her Rapunzel inspired wedding shoot at the beautiful Clissold House in London, I couldn’t say no. I love style shoots, because for me they are not just a good way to mingle with other fellow creatives but also a great opportunity to stretch my own creativity.

So if you are in the middle of wedding planning and looking for a bit of inspiration, read on.

Behind the lens

Eva Tarnok worked behind the lens capturing the day perfectly.

The venue

The shoot took place at Clissold House, an 18th Century mansion surrounded by beautiful gardens, right in the middle of Hackney. It was the beginning of October, and we couldn’t have hoped for better weather as the sunshine stayed with us through the whole day. The rooms at Clissold house are full of natural light, with those traditional high ceilings and grand bay windows with views over the gardens, perfect for an elegant French Style wedding. The house is also a step away from a beautiful little church. So what’s not to like?

The dresses

One coutured by Alessandra Truvelle in a delicate dove grey with both regal and elegant details. And another by Emmy Mae Finley, with a soft tulle skirt, beaded and semi-sheer bodice.

Flowers

The bride’s bouquet, table centerpieces and the stunning fireplace arrangements were created by super talented Augusta Florals.

Styling

Clissold House oozes with elegance and this was perfectly reflected in Keenda’s styling choice. Although the shoot took place in London it had so much French touch to it. And this is most definitely evident in the delicate and understated table arrangement.

The dessert table

Designing the dessert table, also called “table de desserts” in French, was an absolute pleasure. The highlight for me, was the wishing well croquembouche. In France, the croquembouche actually called “pièce montée” comes in all shapes and sizes, but in England it’s very rare to see other shapes.
